Unfolding The Angle Behind Corona Virus -Drishti Tibrewala

The COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic, is an ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‑19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‑CoV‑2). The outbreak was first identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. The first case of COVID-19 was reported on 30 January 2020. The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January, and a pandemic on 11 March 2020.

So we have to understand why we all are having fear of Corona virus. It is because of media or it is because of any specific reason. Basically the information which we are receiving is incomplete and that’s the major reason the fear of virus is getting increased day by day. The main reason of the fear occurs because of the death rate and people are believing that there is a high death rate in corona virus which is not true.

The test of corona virus which are going in India are connected to our fear as when the tests are increasing the cases are also increasing but the media are only showing the increased cases and not the figures of increased tests. This is explained as follows:

  • By Mid-June the cases are around 3 lakh, total test are around 55 lakh and death is around 8 thousand and the population of India is around 130 crore.
  •  If we will find the percentage of total case and total test so it will be around 5%  therefore calculating it further if there will be the test of 130 crore people the cases will be around 5 crore.
  • Now we are not sure that this 5 crore cases are only because of corona virus as may be they are previously having some other disease and corona virus just triggered these all so it can be decreased but it won’t be increased. Let’s assume the figure as 5 crore only so death are around 8 thousand and the death rate will not be 0.01%
  • If we take an example of accidents in India the death rate of accident is 4% and the people are wearing mask while driving but not helmet due to the feat of corona virus.
  •  Everyday tests are increasing in 1 lakh so if we want to test the whole population of India, it will take around 36 years to complete and if we double the speed of tests then also it will take 18 years to complete.

Now when we do the mathematical modelling of this data it seems that the main problem which is going in India is unemployment. As per the latest news 13 crore people are unemployed which directly means they all can’t purchase new clothes, new accessories and forget about the tour and travels. So the demand will decrease which will impact the supply and thus overall the country will go in Recession.

Nothing can stop corona virus but we can do this by decreasing the test. Only critical cases should be tested and the minor ones should get recovered so that the number of cases will get decrease which will directly decrease the fear of this virus among the people.

As in India it has been telecasted that the work has been started but the labour has been moved into their home towns and if the media will show more cases like this so no labour will turn up again. So if we want to actually start the work we have to gain confidence and spread the real figures with everyone so that the fear gets decreased which will directly impact the economy of India and therefore we all can come out from the recession easily.

Upskill & Reskill , To succeed.- Puja Sinha ( HR- APML )

"Success is when I add value to myself." ~ John Maxwell   They say an empty mind is a devils mind. Why do you think they said that? In the situation nowadays, there is lack of positivity around the globe. Instead of thinking "It will end soon," people are thinking "The world is going to end! We all are going to die!" Negative thinking affects your mental health. In the era of workouts and physical fitness, there is some sense of lack in mental fitness. You need to have faith, believe that every ending has a beginning; it’s just that you need to trust the process. So in this crises what i have found is that the students who are in their final years and the students who are waiting for their joing letters are stressed and disturbed . they are worried   thinking about whether they will get a job or not. Well, as we all know that The pandemic has almost left us high and dry. Industry experts have predicted economic downfall, which has lead to job...
